My name is Antonie, I’m from Switzerland and I’m a new volunteer in Vinstra!
I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Educational Sciences (only my thesis left). Before coming here, I spent the fall semester as an exchange student in Stockholm. I was looking for an international experience in projects related to youth and education, and this volunteering opportunity seemed perfect!
During the next 6 months (I will stay until the beginning of July), I will work at the youth clubs in Vinstra and Ringebu, be an assistant in French classes at the secondary schools in Vinstra and Sør-Fron and take part in a Erasmus+ project.
I have always enjoyed discovering new countries and cultures, and Norway has been on my list for a long time. I am curious about experiencing daily life here in a rural context (I’m also from a rural region in Switzerland : Valais). I also hope to learn some Norwegian during my stay!
In my free time, I would love to explore Norway and its beautiful nature. I enjoy being outside, taking pictures of the landscape, or going hiking. But I also appreciate cosy moments indoors, in front of a fireplace, listening to music (big fan of it). I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, discovering Vinstra and its surroundings and sharing moments with the local youth.
