Hva er Ung i Midtdalen?
Ung i Midtdalen er ikke bare én person eller én ting.. Ung i Midtdalen jobber for og med ungdom i et samarbeid mellom alle ungdomsarbeiderne i Midt-Gudbrandsdalen. Aktivitetene koordineres av avdelingsleder i ungdomsarbeid i Nord-Fron kommune, og vi samarbeider tett med aktuelle aktører om ungdomstilbud som ungdomsfestivalen Kåja Camp, UKM, koordinerer Midtdalens Regionale Ungdomsråd, Statement Midtdalen, Regionmesse for elevbedrifter i grunnskolen, internasjonale prosjekter og volontører gjennom Erasmus+ Ungdom, for å nevne noe.
Historikk
Ung i Midtdalen er del av en ungdomssatsing i Innlandet fylkeskommune. Ung i Midtdalen ble etablert som et prosjekt i 2006, og hadde den gangen kontorplass på Vinstra videregående skule.
1. januar 2011 ble Ung i Midtdalen regionens ungdomssatsning, og gikk da over i en fast driftsordning. I den sammenheng ble Nord-Fron kommune vertskommune for ordningen, og har det administrative ansvaret på vegne av de tre Midtdalskommunene.
Fra 1.juni 2023 overtok Nord-Fron kommune som eierkommune av den interkommunale ordningen.
Sammen med eierkommunene er også Innlandet Fylkeskommune med på finansiering av driften. Midt-Gudbrandsdal IPR gir støtte til konkrete aktiviteter hvert år.
Andre som har vært med på finansiering av ulike prosjekt er Erasmus+ ungdom, Gudbrandsdal Energi, Sparebank 1 Gudbrandsdal, Ringebu ungdomsråd, Sør-Fron ungdomsråd, Nord-Fron ungdomsråd og Lions Club i Sør-Fron, Ringebu og Nord-Fron.

What is Ung i Midtdalen?
Ung i Midtdalen is not just one person or one specific activity. Ung i Midtdalen works for and with young people through a collaboration between all youth workers in the Mid-Gudbrandsdal region. The activities are coordinated by the Head of Youth Services in Nord-Fron Municipality, and we work closely with relevant partners on youth initiatives such as the local youth festival Kåja Camp , UKM (The Norwegian Youth Culture Festival), the Midtdalen Regional Youth Council, Statement Midtdalen, the Regional Trade Fair for Student Companies in lower secondary schools, international projects, and volunteers through Erasmus+ Youth, to mention just a few.
History
Ung i Midtdalen is part of a youth development initiative supported by Innlandet County Council. Ung i Midtdalen was established as a project in 2006 and was originally based at Vinstra Upper Secondary School.
On 1 January 2011, Ung i Midtdalen became the region’s permanent youth initiative and transitioned into a regular operating structure. At the same time, Nord-Fron Municipality became the host municipality and assumed administrative responsibility on behalf of the three municipalities in the Midtdalen region.
From 1 June 2023, Nord-Fron Municipality became the owner municipality of the intermunicipal partnership.
In addition to the owner municipalities, Innlandet County Council contributes to the funding of operations. The Mid-Gudbrandsdal Intermunicipal Political Council (IPR) provides annual support for specific activities.
Other contributors that have supported various projects over the years include Erasmus+ Youth, Gudbrandsdal Energi, SpareBank 1 Gudbrandsdal, the Youth Councils of Ringebu, Sør-Fron and Nord-Fron, and the Lions Clubs of Sør-Fron, Ringebu and Nord-Fron.
